Amazing Race Asia heads for International Emmy Awards

The Amazing Race Asia Series 3 is a finalist in the category of Non-Scripted Entertainment in the 37th International Emmy Awards. It was announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at a conference during MIPCOM.

ActiveTV President and series Executive Producer Michael McKay attended the announcement and said, "I'm thrilled by the nomination, particularly on behalf of all the producers and crew who traveled the world and worked around the clock to produce the series. This proves that we can take an original US version, and produce it in other parts of the world for a budget ."

The Amazing Race Asia has traveled to 21 countries over 4 continents in its three seasons. The series had won an Asian Television Award, and was produced by ActiveTV for Sony's AXN network in Asia, and is distributed worldwide by Disney-ABC.

ActiveTV are also the producers behind the first non-English international edition of The Amazing Race Israel or HaMerotz LaMillion made for Reshet, Channel 2.
