Carols is all wrapped up

Carols in the Domain's 25th anniversary concert filled Sydney's Domain and hundreds of thousands of living rooms across the country with songs of festive cheer and celebration from Australia's leading entertainers last night [22.12.2008].

Tina Arena, Yvonne Kenney, David Hobson, Paulini, Tim Campbell, Ricki-Lee, Christine Anu, The Wiggles, Human Nature and many more all performed their favourite Christmas carols to a live audience of 60,000.

"My family and I come to the show every year, we wouldn't miss it!" said Parramatta resident Anne Thomas, who bought her three sons William (11), Tom (9) and Sam (6) to the spectacular. "This was definitely the best show ever and the boys thought the firework show was especially amazing."

Even the one and only Santa Claus took time out of his last minute preparations for his Christmas Eve journey around the world to join the cast on-stage, to the delight of everyone in the audience.

"I'm always pleased to drop by and say a big ‘Merry Christmas' to all the good little boys and girls who are enjoying Carols in the Domain!" said the man with the big white beard. "Now I have to go, I've got some work to do over the next couple of days!"

"I'm pleased that once again Carols in the Domain has bought joy and celebration to everyone who saw the show," said Carols in the Domain producer, Shauna Kane. "Thanks to everyone involved in putting the show together."

"Now it's time for a couple of months off, before we start planning for next years show!" said Shauna.
