TARA 3 Post production

In May/June 2008 activeTV and the AXN network created and filmed the third season of The Amazing Race Asia!

Now, behind the scenes, life is no less hectic for the show's producers, who will produce 13 jam-packed episodes, including Race is Revealed and Race Memories.

Post production of TARA 3 is a complex game of beat-the-clock for producers only with costly penalties if the clock wins!

Tapes were freighted to activeTV's Melbourne office with approximately 650 hours of footage to be logged, digitised and edited using Final Cut Pro.

When asked about the process of post-production, activeTV Executive Producer Michael McKay simply replied.

To put a series like this together requires months of editing, turning the footage into fast-moving one hour episodes. Devices such as quick cuts, crazy special effects, speeded-up action and voice-overs really help elaborate the story and are critical to an episodes' success."
