Prank Patrol
Prank Patrol Series 2 was recently nominated for a prestigious Logie Award for Most Outstanding Children's Series 2011 - fantastic recognition for this hugely popular Australian kid's series produced by activeTV.
Series 1 has also been acquired by CBBC UK with British kids loving the antics of Host Scotty and his sidekick Ninjas.
The second series completed shooting of its 39 x half hours in March, 2011 with a watery send-off. The final episode is set amongst the great white sharks of a Gold Coast Aquarium...a spectacular backdrop to pull off a prank of a lifetime for another Aussie kid!
The series was filmed in two blocks - the first 26 episodes in Melbourne, Australia and the final 13 in Brisbane, Australia. The move in location was demanded by the audience with kids all over Australia desperate to be on the show.
Aussie kids appetite for Prank Patrol Australia is voracious - whilst the first series was the number one live action show for ABC3 during its debut season, the second series has doubled that success boasting a 23% audience share for 5-12 year olds across ALL Free to Air Channels. Thus making it the 4th top ranked show in this age group across all Free to Air channels during its time slot.
A Prank Patrol Marathon on ABC3 in November 2010 attracted a whopping 47.2% (5-12) audience share on Free to Air.
Episodes 1 - 20 of the second season screened late 2010 on ABC3. The second block of 19 will be screened later in 2011.
