Charmian is thrilled to join the activeTV family early 2010. This is her first job in the television industry and she is looking forward to put her knowledge and experience in video, sound, graphics and commerce into the job.

Charmian began her new chapter in Singapore last year 2009; she was involved in Singapore's first Asian Youth Games 2009 where one of her main responsibilities was to coordinate and liaise with the media in the filming of the first ever Asian Youth Games 2009 Torch Relay Ceremony that lasted for 2 days. Soon after Asian Youth Games 2009, Charmian proceeded to work in the consultancy industry as an external HR consultant for the Singapore Sports Council, a Singapore Government body.

Prior to 2009, Charmian was based in Sydney. In 2002, Charmian pursued her studies and attained a Bachelor in Digital Media from The University of New South Wales (UNSW). Thereafter, with the mentality that every industry is base on business, she furthered her academic studies at UNSW in a Post Graduate studies in Masters of Commerce majoring in Organization and Management studies and a minor in International Business Studies. Soon after graduation, she pursued a career in sales and marketing for American Express and also pursued her other interest in the fitness industry as a freelance group fitness instructor.

Charmian is looking forward and excited to see what the future beholds in her new chapter in Singapore and in activeTV.
