Writer / Producer, activeTV Asia
Growing up with a heart for Non-Profit work and dreams of writing one great novel, Kimberly literally stumbled into a TV career when she moved to Asia in 2000. She arrived in Singapore for a month-long holiday and ended up staying to open Reel Loco Productions with two friends, seeing its development from a tiny 3-person show to a bustling production & broadcast design house. After trying her hand in various roles on each production, she realised that the creative problem solving and constantly changing chaos of a Producer fit like a glove.
Since then, Kimberly has been working her tail off on any production she can - Entertainment, Documentary, Children's TV, Music Videos, Short Films, Commercials, Studio shoots, Location Shooting and more. Most recently, she's been running around the world for three seasons of The Amazing Race Asia, the first to be produced outside of the US. She also coordinated production in 5 different countries (China, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and the US) for the pilot of Dream Factory, a trilingual format produced for Beijing's BTV, Singapore's MCS 5, and Indonesia's Indosiar. Ultimate Escape gave Kimberly the opportunity to produce the holiday of a lifetime for a deserving mother and daughter as well as live out her own lifelong dream with a climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Her initial development as a writer blossomed into screenwriting at the encouragement of TV Greats like Pat Ferns, "the Father of Independent Production" and National Geographic Channel's Martha Conboy. She's written everything from preschool learning to documentary to lighthearted reality and is always up for something new.
Kimberly has worked with top networks including Disney, Sony Television, MTV, ESPN, Discovery, Nickelodeon, and many others. In the process, she has developed into an intelligent team player, building on assets and making things work. She's always up for anything and is excited once again to be part of the activeTV team.
Although making the world a better place is still her passion, writing and producing a full-length feature film has now become a career goal Kimberly hopes to achieve in the not too distant future.
