Rob Khoo has joined the activeTV family in 2009 to head the company's Development department for Asia, where he will be responsible for developing new formats, new business and sponsorship.
 
Rob's most recent appointment was at STAR TV where he was the Associate Vice-President  for Production and Ad Funded projects. He was integral for all of STAR TV's Ad-funded operations, from conceptualization, production management to development of sponsors package and sourcing of funds, through his extensive network in Asia. At the same time, he also oversaw STAR TV's and Channel [V]'s productions for Malaysia, Thailand, China, and Hong Kong.

Prior to Rob's tenure with STAR TV, he was the Assistant Director at Channel [V] International, where he was second-in-charge in the overall management of the channel. He describes one of his proudest moments was when ratings improved tremendously for the channel and 3 of his concepts were among the top 3 programs watched and the constantly outperformed the rest of the competition. This has resulted in several major clients signing up with the channel. He was also responsible for introducing a mobile-related TV game show which not only was a ratings winner and generated lots of buzz in other media, but also provided a considerable stream of revenue for the channel. He also oversaw the moving the entire production and operations team and infrastructure from Malaysia to Hong Kong within 1 month, without any disruptions to the programming.

Rob has been based in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China and Hong Kong as part of his broadcast career and has worked with other broadcasting networks such as MTV Asia Networks and Mediacorp Pte Ltd.
